What's This?

As GadgetsBoy I have played with so many types of cases for the iPad, from ones made from real leather, faux leather, suede, tough high grade military materials even plastic.  I have heard of wooden ones but I have never come into contact with it to get a really good feel of how it feels but I can imagine it been stylish and different.

Shane and Drew’s eco-friendly bamboo and walnut cases for iPad 2 and 3 is a Kickstarter project that not only serves a purpose but also helps towards a good course.  Those who love the idea of buying a product whilst helping a good course will love this idea because every case sold will go towards planting a tree in a non-logging location together with a non-profit organisation.

Now to the case itself, it is elegant and I like the idea of the wood used on there, it has a nice contemporary look to it, almost like you having your own case calved out of wood while you wait and watch the works-man break down the log of wood to get your product made; that alone attracts me to the look of it.

The wood will no doubt protect your iPad from knocks, accidental bumps and keeps your iPad clean.  It is functional in the sense that you can take it to meetings whilst looking professional taking notes, you can insert your business cards or quick notes in the side pocket or stand it up when you need to watch movies.

Shane and Drew are only looking for a total of $3000, which is not much at all and is needed to get more wood for the cases; you can help kickstart the project to success by clicking here to fund it.
