What's This?

Samsung’s been busy this year—with several product launches under its belt and a major focus on its mobile and XR products, the company’s also been working on its smart entertainment hardware which includes its smart TVs and monitors. Speaking of the latter, the company recently announced that its 27-inch MovingStyle monitor is now available for buyers within the United Kingdom.

That in mind, the Samsung Movingstyle comes with several audio features for a more immersive entertainment experience, including Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite and Q-Symphony, Adaptive Sound Pro and Active Voice Amplifier Pro. Its 27-inch display also serves as your portal into Samsung’s Tizen OS, which features major content streaming platforms including Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube, as well as a huge library of TV shows and movies in the Samsung TV Plus app.

As for its hardware, Samsung has built the monitor with a design that allows users to switch easily between landscape and portrait modes, the latter of which supports vertical content such as short-form videos. It also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as support for a bit of gaming action via Samsung’s built-in Gaming Hub, which ditches the need for dedicated console hardware. Users can stream their games from several providers, including Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud platform.

The Movingstyle also comes with a soft-wheeled floor stand in addition to a kick-stand that allows the screen to detach in a single motion, in case you want to place it on a table or desktop. Samsung says that it’s also included a built-in battery that can last for up to three hours per charge, adding to its overall portability. With that said though, we reckon that this battery estimate will change based on factors such as volume, screen brightness, wireless connectivity and such.

In addition to its smart TV capabilities, the MovingStyle also supports Samsung’s daily Now Brief, which can also be customised with widgets like Weather, Music, Memos and more. It’s also voicactivated so users can simply speak to it like they would any other smart display. Interestingly, the monitor also supports Samsung’s Sketch Now feature, which allows you to use fingers to sketch, write and create, adding to the monitor’s versatility. As for its price, the Movingstyle comes in at £1199, and is now available for pre-order exclusively with John Lewis & Partners in the UK, with general avilability via Samsung.com from December.
