What's This?

CMF fans, rejoice—the budget-friendly Nothing sub-brand recently announced the launch of its first-ever over-ear headphones, aptly named the CMF Headphone Pro. Like its smartphones, CMF has designed the Headphone Pro to be customizable, adding a bit of personalization that you rarely get with most wireless headphones.

The CMF Headphone Pro comes in three different colour variations, which include Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Light Green. In terms of customizability, users can easily swap out the headphones’ interchangeable ear cushions, which in addition to changing their look also allows for a bit of sound adjustment according to their personal needs. Nothing says that the interchangeable cushions will be sold separately in Orange and Light Green.

As with most headphones on the market, the CMF Headphone Pro comes with physical controls which include a Roller for adjusting your volume, ANC, and playback, along with what nothing refers to as an “Energy Slider” that lets users instantly switch between varying levels of Bass and Treble to match the ‘energy’ of the song they’re listening to. A customizable Button allows for quick access to features like Spatial Audio or AI assistants.

For listening, the Headphone Pro features Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which offers up to 40 dB of noise reduction and automatically adjusts to surrounding ambient noise. Nothing says that CMF’s engineering teams have also equipped the headphones with a custom-made 40 mm Nickel Plated Driver setup, supporting Hi-Res Audio and LDAC for high-fidelity wireless streaming. The headphones also feature Spatial Audio with distinct Cinema and Concert modes and Personal Sound powered by Audiodo technology, which adapts the audio profile to the individual’s ear canal shape.

As for its battery life, the CMF Headphone Pro is pretty ideal for long commutes and even flights—it can deliver up to 100 hours of playback on a single charge, and even with ANC turned on users can still expect up to 50 hours of listening time. Charging is quick and flexible, as a five-minute charge provides up to 4 hours of listening, while a full recharge takes under 2 hours via USB-C. The headphones also support on-the-go charging directly from a smartphone using a Type-C to Type-C cable.
