CES 2026 is pretty much over for this year, but this week has remained a busy one nonetheless—we’re talking about Honor, which recently announced the UK launch of the Magic 8 Pro, its latest camera-centric flagship smartphone. We actually have a full review of the device which you can check out below, but what exactly can you expect from the Honor Magic 8 Pro? Let’s take a look.
Unlike some of Honor’s recent smartphone models, the Honor Magic 8 Pro keeps its design fairly un-Apple, instead opting for a look that highlights a massive camera module, similar to other phones like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Vivo X300 series devices, for example. This camera island houses the phone’s AI 200MP telephoto camera, with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture. Honor is fairly confident of its long-range imaging capabilities, and it even comes with dedicated “SuperNight Camera” processing, which is designed for low-light shots.

In addition to the 200MP telephoto lens, the phone also comes with a 50MP main camera as well as a 50MP ultrawide camera, which makes for a fairly-capable setup. There’s another 50MP camera in front with support for 3D face unlock, which is housed in a large 6.71-inch display. Honor says that the phone’s screen is protected by NanoCrystal Glass, but its biggest highlight is its insanely bright 6,000 nits of brightness, which should put to rest any issues regarding outdoor visibility, even under direct sunlight.

Like a lot of other recent flagship Android phones, the Magic 8 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s latest high-end processor; this is accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and for software you’re getting the latest version of MagicOS, which comes with exclusive software and AI features from Honor (even a familiar-looking front camera island), in addition to the usual Google apps baked underneath Honor’s custom Android skin.

The Magic 8 Pro also comes with a decently-sized battery at 6,270mAh, which manages to fit nice and snug within its frame. It does support 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging, so we’d imagine that you won’t need to wait too long for your phone to finish charging. It’s available from major network providers in the UK including EE, O2 and Three, as well as retailers such as Currys, Argos, and John Lewis for £1,099.99.
