What's This?

Honor’s efforts at flooding the markets with new devices has gone full speed ahead – just last month, the former Huawei sub-brand launched a new smartphone and laptop in the UK, and has lately been building up hype for its upcoming releases, which will initially land for buyers in Chinese markets. We say “releases” because Honor is expected to launch not only a new flagship foldable, but a new tablet and smartwatch as well.

The launch event is only a few days away (on July 12, specifically), but that hasn’t stopped Honor from teasing fans about its new devices, via several posts on Chinese networking site Weibo. With that being said, what can we expect to see on July 12? Let’s take a look.

Honor Magic V2

The biggest highlight of this launch event will no doubt be the Honor Magic V2, the company’s new flagship foldable which takes over for the Magic Vs (pictured above), its current entry in the fairly-new Android foldable market segment.

As for hardware, the Magic V2 is predicted to feature a newer LTPO AMOLED display, which will feature a high 120Hz refresh rate in addition to high-frequency PWM dimming. More interestingly, it’s also expected that Honor will offer the handset in two variants, so buyers can choose from a model with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, or opt for a more powerful (and no doubt more expensive) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Other hardware specs include 512GB of internal storage, 16GB of RAM, and wireless charging support with a 5,000 mAh battery capacity.

New Tablet and Smartwatch

In addition to the Magic V2, Honor also teased that it will be launching additional smart hardware during its launch event. Fans can expect to see the upcoming Honor Magic Pad 13, which is predicted to feature a 13-inch display, as well as the Honor Watch 4, which will come with a design similar to the Apple Watch, as well as built-in E-SIM connectivity.

While Honor posted some teaser images on Weibo, the company didn’t share any details on the devices, so folks looking forward to the full device specs sheet will have to wait for the company’s announcement on July 12. It should also be noted that the launch event will take place in China, so it might be a little longer before we see a global release date. Hopefully though we’ll soon get updates on pricing, availability, as well as any deals that Honor might include with its new products.
