Honor recently unveiled a new addition to its GT range of high-end devices with the GT Pro, which packs quite a number of impressive hardware specifications that are undoubtedly meant for users who might want a bit of extra “oomph” to their devices. It’s currently exclusive for Chinese markets, although it’s somewhat priced competitively, going for less than 400 quid when converted. That said, what kind of features does it come with?

In terms of design, the GT Pro comes with the usual look that’s befitting of Honor’s GT lineup, although it’s toned down a bit compared to the more dynamic-looking hardware accents on its siblings. Elsewhere though the phone comes with a more “standard” appearance, save for a more squared-off camera island with a “GT” inscription on the lower right corner. it’s available in three different colours including Black, White, and Gold.

This design wraps around a large 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display, which comes with an FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. It’s definitely an impressive setup especially for a smartphone, which will make it ideal for content consumption such as Netflix binges, and even day-to-day tasks such as web browsing, social media use and of course, gaming.
Speaking of gaming, Honor has equipped the GT Pro with a powerful chipset, and we’d expect no less—ticking inside the handset is an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is the chipset of choice for most flagship phones on the market this year. You’re also getting 16GB of RAM alongside different storage options, which max out at 1TB. Given the impressive display specs and internals, there’s little doubt that the GT Pro will be ideal for intensive gaming and even on-the-go content production.

Powering the phone is a large 7,200 mAh battery which supports 90W charging. It’s not quite at the same level as the 8,000 mAh unit inside the Honor Power, but for most users this will be more than enough. For photography, there are four cameras on the rear of the GT Pro, all of which use high-resolution 50MP sensors. Video recording maxes out at 4k-resolution footage at 60 frames per second, both on the front and rear cameras.

For software, you’re getting Android 15 on here although it is wrapped up in Honor’s Magic OS 9, meaning that you’re also getting access to pre-installed apps from both Honor and third-party developers, as well as AI-based software. There’s no word yet on whether or not the GT Pro will arrive for the UK, although we’re keeping our fingers crossed, as usual.
