What's This?

OnePlus has been pretty busy these past few months—following some major announcements regarding its new strategy with AI, the launch of a new high-powered tablet and a compact flagship phone, it looks like the company is once again getting ready for a major product release soon. Scheduled for 8th July, OnePlus recently teased several upcoming products, which include new phones, a tablet, and wearables. That being said, let’s take a quick preview as to what you can expect from OnePlus.

First up, we have a pair of smartphones, which consist of the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5. There’s not much info in the way of specs at the moment, although OnePlus has provided us with some tidbits—the Nord 5 will incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, and will also feature a 730mm cooling chamber, and support for up to 144 frames per second during gaming sessions. As for the Nord CE5, the company didn’t release any specific info, although it should undoubtedly be more affordable than the “regular” Nord 5 model.

It’s interesting that OnePlus is obviously positioning the Nord 5 as an upper-tier midrange phone, given that the OnePlus 13R already exists. Considering that the Nord 5 will come with a slightly newer and more powerful chip, one can’t help but think if it will be priced a bit higher than the 13R, which usually retails for £679.

In addition to the smartphones, OnePlus plans to launch the OnePlus Pad Lite, which comes with a more “classic” OnePlus tablet design, as seen with the centralized camera island on the rear panel. We’re also seeing the arrival of a smaller variant of the OnePlus Watch 3, as well as new earbuds from the company. The OnePlus Buds 4 will come with Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 support, and spatial 3D Audio, in addition to a “Game Mode” with a latency of 47ms. The earbuds will be available in two colours consisting of “Zen Green” and “Storm Gray.”

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Watch 3 43mm is a more compact version of the standard Watch 3, offering a lighter and smaller design. Despite the smaller size, it does come with the same GPS capabilities and health tracking features of the larger model. The 43mm version will be available in a single “Silver Steel” finish. It will also run on Wear OS, meaning that users will get access to a ton of apps and software services from both Google and OnePlus, in addition to third-party developers.
