Let’s take a look at all the “standard” smartphone stuff first—the GT 8 Pro features a large 6.79-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, which is capable of reaching an ultra-bright 7,000 nits of peak brightness. Inside the device is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. You’re also getting a massive 7,000 mAh capacity battery with fast 120W wired charging speeds.

As mentioned earlier, the GT 8 Pro’s biggest selling point is its camera setup. The phone comes with a custom RICOH GR Camera System which includes a 50MP Anti-Glare Main Camera with 7P lens and a 5-layer anti-reflective coating for glare reduction, which works in tandem with a software-based “RICOH GR mode” which offers two classic RICOH GR focal lengths at 28mm and 40mm. For long-range photos, the GT 8 Pro packs a 200MP Ultra Clarity Telephoto Camera, which in turn supports 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and an impressive 12x lossless zoom. The telephoto lens also comes with a dedicated 3x “golden focal length,” which Realme says has been optimized for expressive portrait photography with natural depth of field. For content creators, the phone does support 4K 120fps Dolby Vision Recording on the main and telephoto cameras, alongside 4K 120fps 10-bit Log and 8K 30fps ultra-high-resolution recording options.
